Founded over 2000 years ago, Guangzhou has been the capital of the Southern Province for centuries and is responsible for the rapid modernization of China in past years. Shekou (Shenzhen) is a bordering city between China and Hong Kong, a witness to the parallel existence of Chinese socialism and British rule, and the subsequent reunification of the country. Combining modern, rural and cultural attractions all in one, this tour offers a taste of Southern China from a variety of perspectives.

• Depart hotel for a 50min. catamaran ride to Shekou, China
• Arrive Shekou (Shenzhen), and start with city sightseeing enroute and visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses exhibition.
• Drop by a kindergarten and enjoy the performances by local children. (except  Sat, Sun and school holidays).
• Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Exhibition.
• Proceed to Guangzhou via the express highway, passing by some small villages on the outskirt which offers a glimpse into rural life in modern China.
• Arrive Guangzhou – the capital city of Guangdong Province.Authentic Chinese lunch at a local restaurant.
• Stop by the Guangzhou Zoo and meet China's national treasure - the adorable Panda bears.
• Visit a provincial free market abound with local colours and displays (if time permits).
• Stop by the Six Banyan Temple - a popular place of worship for local Buddhists. Built in 537 AD, it is most famous for its ancient tablets and old banyan trees.
• Visit Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall, an octagonal building designed in palatial style, built in 1931 with funds donated by patriotic Chinese overseas.
• Depart for Hong Kong by express train (Dinner available on board at guest’s own expense).
• Arrive Kowloon Station and transfer back to hotel.

• As we will not return to Hong Kong until approximately 8:15p.m., guests are advised to bring along some snacks and drinking water for the tour, if required.
